Competitive Basketball
Yellowjackets Rep
Yellowjackets Rep is the competitive program of Blessed Sacrament Basketball. Athletes are selected through tryouts and compete against strong clubs from across Ontario, while continuing to develop their skills, confidence, basketball IQ and leadership.
Program Overview
What rep basketball asks
Rep basketball is a higher level of commitment than house league, designed for athletes who are passionate about improving and competing in a challenging environment. Our goal is not simply to build successful teams, but to develop great teammates, strong leaders, and young people who represent the program with pride on and off the court.
While winning and competing become increasingly important at the rep level, long-term athlete development remains our priority.

Rep FAQ
Common questions
Athletes who are passionate about improving and competing in a challenging environment. It's a higher level of commitment than house league: consistent attendance, effort and a willingness to improve throughout the season.
No. Selections are based on skill level, athletic ability, coachability, effort and attitude, positional fit, team needs and commitment level. Teams are chosen by coaching staff and program leadership to place each athlete where they'll develop best.
Two to three times per week, typically 90 to 120 minutes. Coaches may occasionally schedule team meetings or film sessions. Practice schedules vary by team and facility availability.
Teams typically compete in the Ontario Basketball League (OBL) and the Coalition Basketball League, one or both depending on age group and level. Families can expect roughly 12 to 24 league games, mostly on weekends. Every team is also entered in the Ontario Cup, the provincial championship, at the end of the season.
League games take place roughly one to two weekends per month, in communities throughout Southern Ontario and occasionally beyond. Older age groups may occasionally need overnight travel for longer-distance games.
The estimated fee for 2026/2027 is $1,500 per athlete. A $250 non-refundable deposit is due on acceptance to a team, and the balance is split into installments due October 1, November 1 and December 1, 2026. The fee includes the team uniform package.
At younger age groups, coaches prioritize development and meaningful game experience for every player. As athletes move up, playing time is increasingly earned through attendance, effort, preparation, attitude, practice habits, game performance and team needs. Decisions rest with the coaching staff.
Yes. The club supports multi-sport athletes. Communicate scheduling conflicts early so coaches can work with your athlete.
Support all athletes positively, encourage effort and sportsmanship, respect coaches, officials, opponents and volunteers, and let coaches coach and players play. Each team sets up its own channel for schedules, travel and updates.
The deposit is non-refundable. Once the offer letter is accepted and the deposit paid, withdrawals receive a LeagueApps account credit instead of a refund, and no refunds or credits are issued once the season has started. See the full refund policy on our Refund Policy & Terms page.
