A Hamilton institution
Blessed Sacrament Basketball has been part of this city's sporting life for generations. Parents who played here now bring their own kids through the same gym doors.
History of the Club
Where it started
Blessed Sacrament Basketball has served Hamilton families for more than 50 years. Founded in 1971 as a school-based basketball program, the Yellow Jackets have grown into one of Hamilton's longstanding youth basketball organizations.
Today the club runs competitive Yellowjackets rep teams that play across Ontario, alongside community programs for players of every age and skill level.
In fall 2026 the club launched the 3v3 House League, building on its school-based roots by bringing an accessible basketball program directly into local school communities, together with a new High School League for Grades 9 to 12.

This club runs on volunteers. Coaches who played here as kids, parents who show up early to set up nets, and families who have sent three generations through the same program.
Blessed Sacrament has always been more than a place to play basketball. It's where Hamilton kids learn to compete, to lose well, and to look after their teammates.
